道灋自然 the Dao follows its natural way

With annual opportunities to meet with a growing Daoist arts family, this program is an invitation to promote balance, peace and harmony in your life.

Program goal

The purpose of this program is to create communities of practitioners and high level Daoist arts teachers dedicated to the study of classical Chinese wisdom traditions.  Together, we support each other as we walk the Daoist path to deeper knowing and enlightenment.

What is JingDao?

JingDao translates as “Living with the Dao.” The Chinese character Jing 經 also carries the meanings of JingLi 經歷 (walking through), JingYan 經驗 (experience), JingLun 經綸 (wisdom, knowledge), JingLuo  經絡 (meridians), JingLian 經煉 (refine),  JingTian 經天 (the Heavenly Way), JingDian 經典 (classics), and JingChang 經常 (constant).

The Dao is wordless. We can only access the true wisdom of the Dao through our own personal cultivation practice and heartfelt life experiences. This course is designed to support participants walking the path of the Dao, who strive to know the Dao through Jing 經.

Program structure

Traditional teachings in Qigong/Neigong and other internal arts, Chinese astrologycalligraphy, the Dao of teaGuQin, TaijiXinYi internal martial arts, traditional Qi Healing (aka Medical Qigong)Fengshui and Yijing science will be offered over the long term.

Traditional style teaching in China encompasses two key components. First, a student genuinely aspires toward a dedicated lifelong practice of internal cultivation.  Second, over time, a dedicated master instructs each student in authentic techniques from the traditional lineage(s) of ancient Chinese wisdom traditions.

Knowledge rooted in practice

The depth of knowledge gained through the trainings is directly connected to the participant’s daily practice.  As students become grounded in their own self cultivation, opportunities arise for their understanding to grow into embodiment of these ancient teachings, and to become high caliber teachers of the Daoist arts.
